SPUC

Founded in 1966 to oppose the Abortion Act and since then it has been the driving force behind attempts to change the law, working in branches throughout the country to secure the election of Members of Parliament who will support pro-life legislation. SPUC works to defend each human life from its beginning to its natural end, campaigning against abortion, embryo experimentation, abortifacient methods of birth control and euthanasia.

Special divisions:

ARCH (Abortion Recovery Care and Helpline) supports and counsels women traumatised by abortion.

No Less Human campaigns for the right to life of disabled unborn children and against euthanasia of disabled, elderly and terminally ill people.

Patient Care Helpline supports people who fear family members are being threatened by euthanasia.

Special educational outreach to schools and to Faith Communities – Muslims, Roman Catholics and Evangelicals.
