The Society of St Vincent de Paul is an international organisation operating in 133 countries. The society’s aim is to enable members to practise their Christianity through helping the needy in their neighbourhood. Our Society also helps the needy overseas by transferring aid to Vincentians in poor countries.
In England and Wales the SVP gives support to the homeless, sick and lonely; it also runs furniture stores and charity shops. As an ecumenical organisation with Catholic ethos, we cooperate with other bodies working in the same field.
