Aim: To provide a deeper understanding of the factors that affect the teaching of Religious Education in the classroom.

Discuss how a stimulus such as a story, poem or image can be used within the classroom in the context of Religious Education.  Explore how children’s life experiences outside of school may influence your approach.

Finally reflect on how a story, poem or image can affect your own faith journey.  Reference should be made to the Religious Education Curriculum Directory and core modules of the CCRS.

Emmaus Model for Liturgy



Using the Catholic model of liturgy put together a non-Eucharistic liturgy; for example a bereavement service or the anniversary/opening of a parish.

Please explain your reasoning.

Make reference to the Roman Missal, Lectionary and Core Modules of the CCRS.
