Schools Building Fund

The Diocese of Shrewsbury provides 115 schools to serve the needs of some 41,000 children who are educated in the Catholic religious tradition to high academic standards.

In return for the right to promote the Catholic Faith in our schools, 10% of the cost of building works and major repairs must be funded by the Diocese.  The Schools Building Fund helps to meet this cost, and parents of children at our schools are invited to make a voluntary contribution to help the Fund.  The suggested contribution is £15 per child per annum, but you are free to give more or less than this – your child will not be treated differently.

Thank you for your generosity.

If you would like the donation you have made to be treated as a Gift Aid donation, please tick the box below.

I request that all qualifying gifts of money I have made to the Diocese of Shrewsbury since 6th April 2018 and all qualifying gifts of money that I make thereafter shall be treated as Gift Aid donations.  I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

Please notify the Diocese of Shrewsbury if you:

1. Change your name or home address;

2. No longer pay sufficient Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax; or

3. want to cancel this declaration.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional Tax relief due to you, you must include all your gift aid donations on your Self-Assessment Tax Return or ask HM Revenue & Customs to adjust your Tax code.
