Bishop Mark Davies has today welcomed the relics of St Bernadette of Lourdes to Shrewsbury Cathedral. A reliquary containing part of the body of the visionary believed to have received visits from the Blessed Mary Virgin in the French Pyrenees in the mid-19th century has made Lourdes one of the largest centres of pilgrimage.
