Catholic governance
The Bishop appoints foundation governors to every Catholic school in the diocese. The Governance team supports those governors, runs training, advises on the work of governing bodies and Multi-Academy Trust boards, and works with each school on the legal and Catholic responsibilities of governance.
Become a governor
Foundation governors are practising Catholics appointed by the Bishop to safeguard the Catholic character of the school. The role is voluntary, but it carries real responsibility. If you are willing to serve, the Education team would like to hear from you.
