Seeking Marriage and Family Life Ministry Volunteers

The Marriage and Family Life Ministry of the Diocese of Shrewsbury is inviting parishioners to consider volunteering in support of the Vocation of Marriage and Family Life.

Marriage and family are at the heart of the Church. Through this ministry, the diocese seeks to support couples and families at every stage of life, from marriage preparation, through the challenges of family life, to ongoing enrichment and prayerful support.

What the ministry does

  • Preparing couples for marriage
  • Offering marriage enrichment retreats
  • Providing prayer support for engaged couples and couples in difficulty
  • Encouraging parish-based groups such as Teams of Our Lady, Couples for Christ, and the Catholic Grandparents Association

Ways you can help

  • Intercessors praying for marriages and families
  • Catechists teaching or sharing faith and life experience
  • Marital Relationship Education Presenters helping couples strengthen their relationships
  • Supporting Natural Fertility Awareness education
  • Encouraging and supporting grandparents in their vocation
